Fairs and Art Areas in the City of Cordoba
The Paseo de las Artes, the Las Heras Park, the Pasaje Revol Antique Fair, the Taste and Sweet Fair and the Children’s Promenade are just some of the options you have that make up part of the cultural and recreational activities that are available to the residents and visitors of Cordoba.
The city of Cordoba – known as “La Docta” for its university culture and its modern center for international studies offers its visitors much more than quaint streets and historical landscapes. There are infinite options for families and travelers looking to have a memorable stay while enjoying the history, culture, gastronomy and all the entertainment that Cordoba has to offer.
While strolling down the main Canal of the city you come to the corner or the street called Achaval Rodríguez, there you will have the opportunity to visit the Paseo de las Artes, where dozens of artists join together to exhibit and sell their works to the public. It is the largest fair of its kind and occurs on a weekly basis. The surrounding blocks are also full of shops which house antiques dealers and other handmade arts and crafts.
In other parts of the city taking place on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are other fairs which occur. One is in the Las Heras Park Art Fair which is located on Boulevard Las Heras and another gastronomic fair known as the Tastes and Sweet fair which offers homemade jams, cakes, liquors and other scrumptious delights and is located at Pasaje Revol and the main canal known as “La Cañada”.
